Sheng BI

Dr. Bi received his medical degree from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai in 1987. He later obtained a master’s degree in rehabilitative medicine from the same institution.  He completed further PhD study in rehabilitation at Capital Medical University in Beijing and at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital, he served as a chief physician of the rehabilitation medical center at the PLA General Hospital. He serves as the honorary president of the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Beijing. He’s also the vice president of the Beijing Rehabilitation Medical Association and the chairman of the Committee of Rehabilitation therapy, Chair of committee of Pain Rehabilitation of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation medicine.

Dr. Bi has practiced rehabilitation medicine for over 20 years. His clinical expertise covers the diagnosis and treatment of complex neck and back pain, cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, scapulohumeral periarthritis, and other non-operative treatment. He has worked with patients who are recovering from postoperative dysfunction, strokes, brain trauma, and spinal cord injuries. He has also has created pain treatment and rehabilitation programs for orthopedic surgery patients, and patients who have cerebral palsy spasticity. He helped pioneer the practice of ultrasound-guided injection therapy in China.

Dr. Bi has published more than 80 papers on both Chinese and international medical journals, and has translated many important rehabilitation medical works.
