Yiqun YAO

Dr. Yao graduated with a master’s degree from the Third Military Medical University in 1991. With nearly 50 years of clinical practice, he is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, endocrine metabolism, and geriatric diseases.

Before joining Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Yao worked in the Internal Medicine Department of the PLA General Hospital. He is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of common internal diseases and has successfully assisted several critically ill patients. He often serves as a visiting professor to hospitals, teaching rounds and providing special lectures.

He has received a number of honors including Professor at the Second Military Medical University, postgraduate supervisor at the Third Military Medical University and Shanxi Medical University, member of the Chinese Geriatric Medicine Committee, deputy chairman of the Geriatric Medicine and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology Industrialization, and a member of the editorial board of several medical journals. His research topics have received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation and the Military Special Fund. He has published more than 100 papers and articles.
